Fitment guide:
You will need:
- A pressure washer
- Oil and grease remover
- Quick drying industrial glue 2 x 100ml tubes
Ensure the kit is suitable for the brand and model
- Pressure wash all high fire risk areas that are known to have static build up and the engine exhaust system
- Remove any remaining fire hazzard materials
- Starting at the engine exhaust manifold before applying the glue start with wrapping & shaping the aerogel foam around the entire exhaust system and work out where glue will need to be applied to hold it in place while securing it with the supplied cable ties.
- Fit the aerogel using glue as holding agent and secure the aerogel in place using cable ties ensuring there are no exposed areas
- Fit stainless steel shielding as per the instructions
- If using standard spray equipment and following the safety instructions on the bottle apply FPU Industrial anti-static coating to areas of fire hazard concerns
- If using paintbrush ensure that all safety instructions are followed and correct safety equipment is worn apply FPU Industrial anti-static coating to areas of fire hazard concern.
- Allow to cure for 12hours (will be touch dry in 2 hours)
- Start engine and check for heat leakage and rectify any leakages felt.
